"Foreign Language for International Communication" (English) is designed to teach the language at everyday, cultural and professional levels; practical command of English at an independent level, necessary for business and professional communication at an international level; the ability to express communicative intentions in writing in a context relevant to the profession; and the attainment by higher education students of a level of knowledge meeting the requirements of a qualified specialist, which will ensure the ability to apply the foreign language in practical activities. An important aim of this course is to focus the learning process on developing key skills and abilities in social and professional communication at an international level, as well as on strategies for independent study of the English language.
The aim of studying the discipline is to participate in oral communication in English, to express communicative intentions in written form (business correspondence, drafting specialised documentation, articles, essays, etc.), working with foreign-language sources of a general, everyday and professional nature; and participating in conversations in English within the scope of topics covered by the curriculum.
