As part of the cooperation agreement between Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and Ştefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania, an international cultural and artistic event on intercultural communication, entitled “Interdisziplinäre Vorstellung der aktuellen deutschsprachigen Literatur”, was held on 25 May.

The event was attended by humanities students, postgraduate students, and Professors from the Department of Foreign Languages for the Humanities of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and Ştefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania, as well as medical interns from Bukovinian State Medical University. The keynote speaker was Raluca-Mihaela Dimian, Dr.Hab., Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Faculty of Literature and Communication Sciences, Ştefan cel Mare University of Suceava, who presented the topic “Die aktuelle deutschsprachige Literatur als interdisziplinäres Feld. Eine Auseinandersetzung am Beispiel Herta Müllers” for discussion. The event was organised by Tetiana Bukhinska and Zhanna Cherska, Associate Professors at the Department of Foreign Languages for the Humanities. Tetiana Koropatnitska, Associate Professor and Deputy Dean for Academic and Methodological Affairs at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, delivered a welcoming address.

The event aimed to develop intercultural competence through an interdisciplinary lens, emphasising the ability to select appropriate strategies and collaborate in a multicultural environment. Participants engaged in a productive exchange of knowledge and ideas on enhancing international cooperation within an interdisciplinary framework.
